I've Been Better

You know I have been in and out of my bed quite often these past 5 days due to high fever and aching throat. But I must say that the highlight of this being sick ordeal has been to see how loving my family truly is. Mom and Dad have been constantly checking on me and seeing what they can do to help me just get through it and my brother has been by my side to help me lift my spirits with some humor and conversation. These times have really been good for me minus the high fever and the fact that my tonsils are swollen big enough to almost cut off my airway. Today I did feel better however. I woke up without the high fever but still my throat isn't a pretty site. I decided to spice up the afternoon by playing some good ol' Johnny Cash and doing the Texas Two-Step in the kitchen. I know Paps and Little Mom that if you read this then you will have a sense of pride because I credit my western swing skills to that side of the family. But really, music just isn't made like Johnny Cash anymore. The closest I get to feeling at home when it comes to good music is when I hear Eric Church's cd start playing. Song for song it is a top notch quality in both the production and the songwriting. Eric Church is an amazing singer/songwriter out of Nashville that has had several named hits but has been flying under the radar for a bit. Well, I feel that it is past my bed time. I am very happy that I got to take the time to write this short update. I pray that each day I get better and I feel that my prayers are being answered each time that sun comes above the horizon. So, take care and best wishes!
